Wealthyhood and National Bank of Greece join forces: investing from €1 arrives in Next by NBG
Through a strategic partnership, Wealthyhood Europe AEPEY provides the investment services behind the new “Investments” section of Next by NBG, bringing international stocks, ETFs and Money Market Funds into the app young people already use to manage their money.

Athens, 30 October 2026 – Wealthyhood announces its strategic partnership with National Bank of Greece, under which Wealthyhood Europe AEPEY provides the investment services behind the new “Investments” section of Next by NBG. Next users can now invest in international stocks and ETFs from as little as €1, without ever leaving the Next by NBG app.
Investing without barriers, from just €1
For many young people, investing has felt like an out-of-reach world: high minimums, complicated processes and intimidating jargon. The new “Investments” section removes those barriers for Next users, giving them access to international markets in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
With “Investments”, Next users can:
- Invest from just €1: With fractional shares, users don’t need to buy a whole share: they invest as much as they want and own the corresponding portion of it.
- Access international markets: More than 2,400 stocks from the US, Europe and the UK and more than 940 ETFs, with search, thematic categories and market data.
- Start with Money Market Funds: For those looking for a better return on their money, Money Market Funds come with no lock-in period and no buy or sell commission, while their returns follow market interest rates.
- Invest automatically every month: Set up a monthly investment with the amount they choose, every month, building a steady investing habit.
- Keep everything in one place: Track the performance of their investments, move money to and from their Next account, trade at competitive fees with no subscription and no custody fee, and learn the basics through beginner guides, a glossary of terms and market updates.
Alexandros Christodoulakis, Co-Founder & CEO of Wealthyhood, emphasises:
“Young people in Greece never lacked the will to invest; they lacked access. The system asked them to go somewhere else, open something new and start with money they didn’t have, through slow and complicated processes. With Next by NBG, investing goes to where they already are: the app they open every day to pay, save and organise their finances, starting from just €1.
Today, the country’s largest bank trusts Wealthyhood’s technology, product and regulated infrastructure to bring international markets to its users. For us, this is the future of investing in Europe: banks and fintechs side by side.”
Christina Theofilidi, General Manager of Retail Banking at National Bank of Greece, stated:
“With the new ‘Investments’ section we are adding to National Bank of Greece’s Next app, we are making investing possible in a modern and reliable way. With ‘Investments’, international markets enter the same environment that Next users already use to pay, save and organise their finances. In this way, their access to the sometimes complex investment ecosystem becomes simpler and easier.”
The “Investments” section is available in the latest version of the Next by NBG app. Learn more at Next step: Investing in Stocks and ETFs.
